TOP QUESTIONS:
AM I CALLED TO FCA?
If you have a passion for ministering to coaches and the athletes they influence—helping them come to know Christ and grow in their faith—then God may be calling you to serve through FCA. This vision is at the heart of our ministry and represents FCA’s ultimate mission.
We believe that serving with FCA is a response to Christ’s call within the world of sports. For many, this calling becomes a lifelong journey. That’s why we want to equip you with helpful information and guide you through an application process designed to support you as you prayerfully discern your next step in serving the Lord through FCA.
WHY RAISE SUPPORT?
FCA is a faith-based ministry that relies on the generosity of donors to fulfill its mission. Each field ministry position at FCA includes the responsibility of creating and executing a personal funding plan as part of the onboarding process before employment begins. The anticipated annual budget for a field staff role ranges from approximately $60,000 to $75,000. This budget supports the staff member’s salary, payroll taxes, benefits, and ministry-related operational and program expenses.
Field ministry staff are encouraged to trust God for provision and are given the opportunity to engage individuals, churches, and organizations in the ministry. This can include support through prayer, volunteering, and financial contributions.
In some staff roles, the support of a local leadership board is also required. These boards provide vital spiritual, programmatic, financial, and emotional support to the staff member. Board members play a key volunteer role in encouraging, supporting, and holding the staff accountable—ensuring the integrity and continued growth of the ministry.
